David Beckham got pulses racing with a racy rooftop stunt yesterday (01.10.13).

The retired soccer star was spotted clambering around on the top of the Old Trueman Brewery in Brick Lane, east London, wearing nothing but a grey vest top and navy pants.

The father-of-four - who has sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, and eight-year-old Cruz and daughter Harper, two, with his wife Victoria Beckham - was filming a new advert for his latest underwear collection for high street favourite H&M.

An onlooker said: ''You don't expect to be walking along the street only to see Becks in his pants! There were some blackout screens so not everyone could see him as he ran along the top of the building, but those who did certainly got a treat. He even took off his vest at one point so everyone could see his tattooed chest.''

Fans needn't have worried for David's safety during his sky-high antics as he was supported by a special hardness and his feet were protected by nude-coloured shoes.

The handsome star had a tattooed body double at hand to film some of the more dangerous scenes in the racy advert, due to debut in February.

David previously insisted the most important parts of his anatomy were definitely his own in the H&M ads, joking: ''The crotch is mine and the backside is mine. Someone said that I had a stand-in for my bum but, no, I can confirm that's my bum.''
