Drake has parted way with his publicists just weeks after his headline-grabbing dispute with editors at Rolling Stone magazine.

Earlier this month (Feb14), the rapper was left furious when editors of the acclaimed magazine dropped him from the cover and replaced his picture with a tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman following the actor's sudden death.

Drake insisted he was "disgusted" by the move and vowed to boycott all future magazine interviews, writing in posts on Twitter, "They... took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue... I'm disgusted with that. Rip to Phillip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil... I'm done doing interviews for magazines."

Drake later apologised for the rant, and clarified his remarks in a statement, saying, "I completely support and agree with Rolling Stone replacing me on the cover with the legendary Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He is one of the most incredible actors of our time and a man that deserves to be immortalised by this publication."

Although the dust has now settled on the matter, it looks as if Drake is moving on by parting ways with his team at Los Angeles-based publicity firm Id Pr.

In a statement to Billboard.com, a representative for Id Pr writes, "Drake is an incredibly talented artist and we're proud of our results for Nothing Was The Same (album) and Would You Like A Tour? (tour) We wish him the best."
