Eddie Vedder played host to some very special guests on Saturday (03Jan15) when U.S. President Barack Obama and his family decided to drop in on the Pearl Jam frontman at his home in Hawaii.

The Democrat and his daughters, Sasha and Malia, spent some time with the rocker and his family in Kailua, not far from where the First Family had rented a vacation home for the festive season.

The visit lasted less than 30 minutes.

Vedder has been a longtime fan of Obama, after first backing him in the run up to his 2008 election victory. The guitarist also voiced his support for the president once more in 2012, when he performed at a fundraiser in Tampa, Florida as part of his re-election bid.
