Erin O'Connor's style revolves around accessories.

The 35-year-old supermodel, who was once described by Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld as ''one of the best models in the world'', admits she has tempered her iconic androgynous look with more feminine pieces and accessories in recent years.

Erin told InStyle magazine: ''My body shape has always led my style choices, and over the years I've softened my look to mix androgyny with femininity.

''I love to work an outfit around an amazing bag. My current favourite is Radley's yellow Clayton as it's so unapologetic. A good way to evolve your wardrobe is to stick to a template that complements your shape and update the look with different accessories.''

Erin - who recently wrapped filming of 'The Face' UK alongside Naomi Campbell and Caroline Winberg - has always had a soft spot for Jean Paul Gaultier and the designer was responsible for one of her career highlights.

She said: ''My ultimate red carpet moment was when I wore a black Jean Paul Gaultier ballgown to the Met Ball in NYC. His ability to create fantasy had me obsessed for many years before I got to model for him. He's a very special person to me and always has a good book suggestion.''

Erin reveals her favourite designer of the moment is Simone Rocha, who was given the Emerging Talent - Womenswear Award at the 2013 British Fashion Awards earlier this month.

Erin said: ''I love [Simone's] anarchic twist on femininity. I am also mad about Zac Posen, Christopher Kane and JW Anderson.

''Solange Azagury-Patridge is the best jeweller. I am a long-term fan and saved hard for my first piece. I appreciate the way she uses luxury materials to produce playful pieces.''
