Foxes insists she doesn't take herself too seriously.

The 'Holding Onto Heaven' hitmaker, real name Louisa Rose Allen, admits she's actually a bit of a tomboy and isn't impressed by people giving her the tag of 'girl next door'.

She told Clashmusic.com: ''Blah blah blah ... I think I'm maybe a bit of a lad, actually. At the moment I'm living with three of my best friends, and they're all guys. I'm not really a girly girl at all. I don't take myself too seriously.''

She added: ''I hate being called cute ... a girl doesn't want to be cute.''

The 25-year-old star, who will take to the stage at Glastonbury Festival this summer, and she says she's ''very, very excited'' about the event at Worthy Farm, which is being headlined by Kasabian, Arcade Fire and Metallica.

She said: ''I love festivals, I'm a festival fan, I'd go anyway.''

And she's continuing to prove the critics wrong, both as a pop act and a song-writer.

Foxes added: ''I get quite a lot of people thinking I don't write the music, which is mental, but I guess, which you're considered a sort of 'pop' act some people just immediately think, 'Ah, you didn't write it'.''
