George Clooney has ''impressed'' Amal Alamuddin's friends with his dedication to their upcoming wedding.

The 52-year-old actor, who is set to marry the British lawyer later this month, has reportedly ''been very hands-on'' ahead of their special day and is overseeing most of the last minute details.

A source told E! News: ''Everyone has been so impressed with how involved he is with everything.

''George is helping to plan everything.''

The insider added: ''He really is a fantastic man, and it's very obvious from his actions how much he loves Amal.

''Her family loves him. He is so incredibly devoted to her and has made a huge effort with everyone in her life.''

The couple are set to host two wedding celebrations, one at George's mansion in Lake Como, Italy and another in London.

Guests expected to attend include Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and John Krasinski.

Meanwhile, friends close to the couple predict they will start a family in the near future.

The source said: ''Everyone thinks she will get pregnant very soon.''

George and Amal, 36, who got engaged in April, secured their marriage licence at Chelsea Town Hall in London last month, enabling them to make their union official.
