Hugh Jackman reminded fans and peers of his recent skin cancer scare at his first red carpet appearance since revealing his health drama last month (21Nov13) by turning up to the David Lynch Foundation Presents: Change Begins Within Benefit Gala in New York City on Tuesday (03Dec13) with a bandage on his nose.
The 45-year-old Les Miserables attended the event with the Band-Aid on full view.
He was accompanied by his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, who convinced him to get a blemish on his nose checked - and when he did he learned he had a basil cell carcinoma.
Posting a photo of his bandaged nose on Instagram.com last month (Nov13), Jackman wrote, "Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And Use sunscreen!!!"
And on Tuesday's red carpet, he added, "I’m feeling relieved, it’s good, cancers all out and I’m very very grateful to my beautiful wife who forced me to go and get a check-up... Typical man, I was like, 'Oh I’ll go next week'."
