Rocker Jack White is set to take part in a panel discussion about legendary jazz and blues label Paramount Records at America's prestigious Yale University.

The star will join music journalist Greil Marcus, Revenant Records bosses Scott and Dean Blackwood, musician Adia Victoria and Yale professor Daphne Brooks for the roundtable talk, titled, Exploring the Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, which is being billed as "an evening of musical exploration and conversation, unpacking the label's rich history".

The event will take place at the New Haven, Connecticut college on Tuesday (28Oct14), three weeks before bosses at Revenant Records and White's Third Man Records release the second part of The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records box set.

Volume One, comprising of hits from 1917 to 1932, hit music retailers last year (13).
