Rock veteran Jeff Beck has a hoard of unheard and unseen music and movie footage from his career, but he plans to destroy any rarities he hates.

The Hi Ho Silver Lining hitmaker has a garage full of archive material he has gathered throughout his time in the music industry, and is planning to carry out an "inventory" to sift through the items.

Beck has teased fans by announcing he wants to release some of the rarities, but he has vowed to destroy anything he feels is not good enough for public consumption.

He tells Mojo magazine, "It will (come out). I'm building a barn and when that's done I'm going to do an inventory and destroy the stuff that's no good or perished and keep the good stuff. I've got some amazing 70mm film of Bba (Beck, Bogert & Appice), all my outtakes and extra material."
