Comic Jim Belushi has scrapped an upcoming stand-up show in Canada after landing a part in a movie.
The According to Jim star was set to perform at The Chatham-Kent Capitol Theatre in Ontario on 23 January (14), but has now scrapped the gig after winning a dream role on the big screen.
A statement from Belushi reads, "I am terribly disappointed to not come to Canada the last week of January to do a tour that we have been working on and looking forward to all year. A glorious opportunity has presented itself in a beautiful movie script that shoots in Miami Beach this January and February. It's a lead role and a great ensemble of actors, writers, and a terrific director. It's a must-do, a left field opportunity that if I don't seize, I feel I will regret for the rest of my life."
