Def Leppard star Joe Elliott has launched a crowdfunding campaign to complete a new movie about a desperate rocker.

The singer appears in director Bobby Field's film The Bridge, alongside members of Ministry, Pixies and the Black Star Riders, and he is keen to see the finished project.

Urging fans to back his film, the Pour Some Sugar On Me singer writes, "I think you should get involved. There are some brilliant people working in front of the camera and behind the camera."

Elliott is aiming to raise $300,000 (£200,000) by the end of the year (14) to help Field complete post-production.

Donors can pay to have Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago cook dinner for them and a group of friends or to attend a Ministry soundcheck.

Santiago says, "Your contribution is going to mean a lot to keep the integrity of this film and the vision of the artist."
