Veteran actress Dame Judi Dench has documented her life in a new picture book.

The British star has put together a collection of photographs showing her throughout the years for a tome called Behind The Scenes, which gives readers an insight into her acting career and personal life.

The book includes photographs of her wedding day, family vacations, backstage at theatre performances and the moment she received her damehood at Buckingham Palace in London.

She writes in the book, "Looking again at these pictures of my family and the roles I have played brings back many happy memories."

Behind The Scenes is due for release this month (Nov14).
