Justin Bieber is helping to lift the spirits of residents in the tornado-hit state of Oklahoma by inviting 200 students to attend his concert there on Tuesday night (02Jul13).

Locals are still recovering after deadly twisters ripped through the suburb of Moore in May (13), killing 24 people and destroying hundreds of homes and buildings, including two elementary schools.

The Baby hitmaker will take his Believe Tour to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Tuesday and he's showing his compassion to fans in the area by offering up tickets to his gig.

In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "we got Okc (Oklahoma City) tonight. held 200 tickets for students from some of the schools recently destroyed. hope they enjoy the show".

Meanwhile, Bieber has used his social networking blog to criticise tabloid reporters for continuing to focus on his alleged bad behaviour in recent weeks, after he was involved in a number of bust-ups with photographers and investigated by police over allegations he has been upsetting his neighbours in California.

A defiant Bieber tweets, "interesting how some people in the media wanna take shots at me for no reason. all good. keeping it positive over here. all about the music...

"some decisions in life arent (sic) easy...but nothing great was ever easy. be great".
