Justin Bieber's manager/mentor Scooter Braun was two months away from losing everything when his teenage prodigy started to take off.
The former club promoter had budgeted to spend 13 months trying to find the next big thing, but 11 months into his dream job as a talent handler he broke down in front of his dad and confessed that he was running out of time and money.
Braun tells Entertainment Tonight, "I called my dad and just broke down. The truth was I'm two months away from having nothing and I've got this 13-year-old kid and his mother living in a townhouse under my name, illegally. He (dad) said, 'Look, you've come this far, see it through'."
The wise words gave Braun the boost he needed to land Bieber a major deal and now the manager is worth a reported $40 million (£26.6 million) and his roster also includes Psy, Carly Rae Jepsen and Ariana Grande.
