Kasabian - Kasabian: Metallica to pull it out of the bag at Glastonbury
Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno thinks Metallica are a great choice for a headline act for Glastonbury festival and says they'll definitely pull something ''out of the bag''.
Kasabian think Metallica are going to ''pull it out of the bag'' at Glastonbury.
The rockers have commented on the decision of Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis to offer the final headline slot of the event to the heavy metal band, saying they think the 'Master of Puppets' hitmakers will surprise festival goers.
Quizzed on whether they understood the criticism Eavis has received, guitarist Serge Pizzorno said: ''Obviously Prince was the move and I think everyone was prepared for that.
''No one's really sure about it, but to be fair that normally means something amazing is going to happen. No one was sure about Jay Z or Beyonce but look at what happened there.
''These boys are clever and they've been doing it a long time. There's a reason they are who they are. I'm sure they'll pull something out of the bag.''
Serge - along with frontman Tom Meighan, bassist Chris Edwards and drummer Ian Matthews - will play the headline slot on Sunday while Metallica will take to the Pyramid stage on Saturday, and Tom admits he feels honoured to have been chosen.
He told MTV News: ''It's such an honour. We're really humbled to be playing Glastonbury. We've been waiting a long bloody time.
''I suppose we'll just do what we always do, turn up, crank the volume up a bit, play our guitar music and see where it takes us.''
