Classical singer Katherine Jenkins is to run another half-marathon to raise money for charity.

The Welsh star is gearing up to tackle the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in London on 06 October (13) to raise cash for the city's The Royal Marsden Hospital, which specialises in cancer treatment.

Jenkins decided to support the hospital's work in fighting cancer after her friend's granddaughter was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year (13) and has since been treated at the centre.

Jenkins took to Twitter.com to tell fans about the run, writing, "Just landed back in the Uk in time to get over the jetlag and run in Sundays Royal Parks Half Marathon."

The mezzo-soprano is a keen jogger and completed the London Marathon for charity earlier this year (13).
