Katy Perry wants to collaborate with Bruno Mars.

The 'Roar' hitmaker is a huge fan of the 'Treasure' crooner - whose two albums, 'Doo-Wops and Hooligans' and 'Unorthodox Jukebox', have received critical acclaim - and hopes they can get into the recording studio together.

She told E! News: ''I've always said I'd wanna collaborate with Rihanna, but I'd love to collaborate with Bruno Mars. I always say, 'When I grow up, I wanna be the female version of Bruno Mars', cause he's so wildly talented in showing everybody that he has so much diversity in him.''

Katy, 28, is preparing for the release of her third studio album 'Prism' and says we can expect to be instantly hooked to her catchy pop songs, in a similar vein to last album 'Teenage Dream', but the new record is also a lot more personal.

She added: ''I'm very proud of this record. It's very exciting. It's gonna make you dance, just like the last one but it's a lot more self-reflective.''

The pop star recently revealed she would consider collaborating with controversial 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker Miley Cyrus and is a huge fan of her new track, 'Wrecking Ball'.

She said: ''I have heard her sing 'Wrecking Ball' before that single came out and I tweeted about it a long time ago before it even came out and I was just so excited about it for her. She's got a set of pipes that are incredible.''
