Kelly Rowland and Michael Bolton acted as backing singers for a 12-year-old boy at the Autism Speaks Winter Ball in New York on Monday (02Dec13).

The pair took to the stage to support young singer Christopher Duffley, who suffers from the condition, during his rendition of Lean on Me.

They were also joined by the Harlem Boys Choir at the event, which raised $1.1 million (£730,000) for Autism Speaks, a charity which sponsors autism research and awareness programs.

The ball was hosted by fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
