Kim Kardashian got her daughter diamond earrings for her first birthday.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who married rapper Kanye West in Italy in May, wanted to do something special to commemorate their little girl North's milestone on June 15, so she decided to get her ears pierced beforehand.

A source told UsMagazine.com that the 33-year-old beauty invited an experienced piercer to her mother Kris Jenner's house in Calabasas, California to perform the procedure on North's ears in private just a week-and-a-half before the special occasion.

Kim immediately purchased a small diamond pair of studs for the tot, who was first spotted wearing them on her actual birthday in New York City, and also wore them at her star-studded music festival-themed ''Kidchella'' bash last weekend.

The reality TV star previously admitted she loves ''dressing up'' her daughter and even borrows designer items from Kanye's wardrobe to create costumes for her.

Earlier this year, she said: ''I take pictures of her all the time and dress her up. I put Kanye's big chains around her, and I put a little Louis bag and some Jordans, and I was like, 'What up, Daddy?' ''

Meanwhile, a source told PEOPLE magazine that the couple spent thousands of dollars on North's Coachella-inspired party, which featured a carnival-size Ferris wheel, bouncy castle, stage, tepees and food trucks.

An insider said: ''Kim and Kanye made sure it was very special. It was amazing, and all the kids had the best time.''
