Rockers Kiss have launched a new Arena Football team in California.

The LA Kiss will play their games at the Honda Center in Anaheim and next year's (Mar14) season kick-off will include a concert by Gene Simmons' rock band.

Simmons and Kiss frontman Paul Stanley are part-owners of the team, which will use the band's iconic logo.

Simmons says, "As a fast-paced, high-action band, this partnership with the Afl was an obvious fit for us. Attending an LA Kiss game in 2014 will be similar to a live Kiss show, with thrilling, heart-pounding action."

Kiss aren't the only rockers with links to the Arena Football League - Jon Bon Jovi was a part-owner of the Philadelphia Soul until 2010.
