Kylie Minogue has paid tribute to Australian music mogul Molly Meldrum after he was announced as the 2014 inductee into the Aria of Hall of Fame.
The music industry veteran is to become the first non-recording artist to join the Australian Recording Industry Association's (Aria) institution at the annual prizegiving ceremony in Sydney on 26 November (14).
He follows in the footsteps of Minogue, who he inducted in 2011, and the pop star is thrilled he is joining her in the Hall of Fame.
She says, "Molly, I wiped away your tears when you inducted me into the Aria Hall Of Fame in 2011, and I wish you'd been there to wipe away my tears when I heard that you will be inducted into the Aria Hall Of Fame this year! I can't think of another person who deserves this honour more than you... The Australian music industry is blessed to have had you in our lives for over four decades."
