British Tv watchdog officials have decided against launching a full investigation into Lady GaGa's sexy performance on the U.K.'s The X Factor in October (13), after her revealing costume sparked a storm of complaints from conservative viewers.

The Paparazzi hitmaker hit the stage for Simon Cowell's hit show wearing flesh-coloured underwear and a bra fashioned out of a pair of seashells for renditions of her new songs Do What U Want and Venus on 27 October (13), but the appearance caused concern among some parents, who claimed the gig was too racy for primetime Tv.

More than 300 people filed official complaints to media regulator Ofcom, but after assessing comments, officials declared on Monday (16Dec13) that the set did not break broadcasting standards rules.

Gaga isn't the only pop star to test the limits of decency on Britain's The X Factor - Rihanna and Christina Aguilera faced similar allegations in 2011, but were cleared of any wrongdoing.
