Leona Lewis won't follow in Miley Cyrus' footsteps by twerking.

The 28-year-old singer says her musical style, consisting of big, soaring ballads, doesn't suit the latest dance craze and she won't be seen shaking her rump any time soon.

Leona said: ''I feel like my songs don't really suit twerking so it might look weird if I just started suddenly.''

The 'Bleeding Love' hitmaker - who is due to release her festive album 'Christmas, with Love' next week - shot to fame as a contestant on the UK version of 'The X Factor', on which she was mentored by Simon Cowell, 54, and she says she still enjoys a close friendship with the music mogul, who is also her record label boss.

She explained: ''He's definitely in my phonebook, I worked closely with him on this record and work closely with him on all of my records.''

As one of the richest men in the world with a slew of expensive possessions, including his prized Bugatti car, Simon is notoriously difficult to buy Christmas gifts for.

However, Leona has figured out one item he doesn't own.

She quipped to UK TV show 'Daybreak': ''I've not seen him in a Christmas jumper yet, maybe I'll buy him one for Christmas!''
