Liam Payne has splashed out £1.2 million on a bottle of champagne.
The One Direction hunk - who took home £5 million in earnings last year - reportedly treated his rapper pal, Wizkid, to ''the world's most expensive champagne''- Taste of Diamonds - at London's Funky Buddha nightclub on Tuesday (16.07.13) in celebration of his 24th birthday.
In a snap posted on Twitter by the luxury designer, Alexander Amosu, the 19-year-old singer can be seen flaunting the famous Goύt de Diamants champagne - which is complete with a solid white gold label - as he poured some of the plush bubbly into his friend's glass.
The designer wrote: ''@wizkidayo & Liam (one direction) enjoying taste of diamonds @goutdediamants at his birthday party. Launching in NIGERIA end of this month with this Swarovski Diamond bottle edition (sic).''
The star was clearly trying to let his hair down after he was forced to apologise to fans last week for making them feel ''under-appreciated''.
Liam was left upset when he spotted a number of cruel posters about him among the audience at the band's concert in Detroit, Michigan, in relation to a recent furious Twitter rant to do with fans calling at his hotel room in the middle of the night.
In an extended message on Twitter, he wrote: ''Saw some signs about me tonight that where a bit upsetting dont know whats happend but i hope I'm good with you guys and I hope you know how grateful I am that you guys have done all of this for us because i genuinely can't believe how lucky I am to be here (Sic).''
He added: ''Like I said I hope everything's ok and I know a lot of people may not like me right now and feel a little under appreciated as we dont get to come out and meet u guys all that much i wish it was easier, I do truly appreciate you guys tho you have changed my life and i could never thank you enough I hope in time it will all be cool (Sic).''
