Lindsay Lohan ''knows who she is'' after appearing on the West End.

The 28-year-old actress completed a 10-week theatre run of 'Speed-the-Plow' at London's Playhouse Theatre last month, which her family claim has been excellent at encouraging her to focus on her career, after six stints in rehab in the past seven years.

Her 21-year-old sister Aliana - who was recently spotted hanging out with the troubled star in London - said: ''She's in a really good place. You have to just find yourself, everyone has. She knows who she is.''

Her mother, Dina, has also praised the 'Mean Girls' actress for her strong work ethic, describing her as ''amazing''.

She told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: ''Lindsay's an amazing actor, and she's lost without her craft.

''She had eight shows a week; it was a 10-week run. She never missed one. They don't write that in the Daily News: She never missed a day.''

Having now completed the show - which received mixed reviews - Lindsay has insisted she has no plans to move back to the US, because she feels she has ''grown up'' while spending time in the English capital.

She previously said: ''I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else.

''I won't live in LA again, hell no. My friends tell me s**t when they come over I don't want to hear. I don't even know who got married and who got pregnant. You turn on the news in LA and it is all gossip about people ... I haven't heard myself mentioned on TV since I have been here. That has been really weird for me, and great.''
