Louis Tomlinson thinks Simon Cowell should pay One Direction's phone bill.

The 21-year-old boy band star thinks the media mogul - whose record label, Syco, signed his group - should pay, as the band members amass ''ridiculous'' bills for mobile roaming charges for making and receiving calls on their Take Me Home world tour.

The star is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: ''Our data charges are quite ridiculous really.

''In no time the bills become massive as my mates will keep ringing me and chatting, no matter where I am in the world - and they don't know or maybe care that it's actually me paying the bill.

''So far Simon hasn't shown any interest in paying. It's time he started to dig deep.''

One Direction - which includes Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - are currently on the Australian leg of the tour where they are set to take to the stage at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena tonight (16.10.13).
