A U.S. judge has ordered Michael Madsen to undergo further treatment after the actor successfully completed a 30-day rehab stint to conquer his drink problems.

The Reservoir Dogs star was arrested in Malibu, California last year (12) and charged with two counts of driving under the influence (Dui) after he was reportedly discovered to have a blood alcohol content level more than twice the legal limit.

He struck a deal with prosecutors and agreed to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as part of his punishment, but failed to fulfil his side of the bargain so a judge revoked his probation and ordered to him to spend 30 days in a live-in alcohol treatment facility.

Madsen completed his rehab stint and appeared in court in Los Angeles on Monday (29Jul13) to prove he had been treated successfully, but the judge ordered him to enroll in an outpatient facility to continue the recovery process, according to Tmz.com.
