Actor Neal McDonough saved his wife from serious injury by catching her after she fell from the stage at a gig in Los Angeles.

The Band of Brothers star's partner Ruve Robertson was pulled up on stage at the city's famous Roxy Theatre venue to dance with Dan Finnerty's comedy pop group The Dan Band.

However, the gig nearly ended in injury after a dance move went wrong and Robertson was accidentally flung from the stage and into the crowd.

Video footage obtained by shows MCDonough catching her and helping her to her feet. The actor then turns around and signals to the crowd that she is okay before his wife jumps back onstage again.
