Reese Witherspoon - Nick Hornby To Adapt Strayed Bestseller For Reese Witherspoon's Hiking Film

Reese Witherspoon has drafted in beloved British author and screenwriter Nick Hornby to revamp Cheryl Strayed's bestselling memoir, Wild: From Lost To Found On The Pacific Crest Trail, for a new movie she'll produce and star in.

The actress will follow Strayed's footsteps on the 1,100-mile Pacific Crest Trail, which winds through California and Oregon, following the death of her mother and her divorce.

The author's tome about backpacking became an instant hit upon its release last year (12) and Witherspoon snapped up the film rights.
