Nicolas Cage - Nicolas Cage Banishes Awards From His Home
Nicolas Cage refuses to display acting trophies in his home as he is determined not to surround himself with reminders of his past glories.
The Hollywood star has accumulated numerous awards over the years, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Best Actor Oscar, which he won for 1995 film Leaving Las Vegas.
However, Cage hides his prized statuettes away as he does not want them in his home.
He tells the New York Post, "(I) don't talk about those old days. I intend to maintain a normal, natural home life. I try to look at the future, not the past.
"The same with my Oscar. I'm living today. I'm a parent. I keep the totems away. My awards are safe. But they're not in my home. The totems are in the past."
