Oprah Winfrey is glad she never had any more children.
The chat show queen, who gave birth to a baby boy prematurely when she was 14, after years of being sexually abused, but he tragically died after a few weeks, thinks her success would have had a negative effect on them.
The 59-year-old star told The Hollywood Reporter magazine: ''If I had kids, my kids would hate me. They would have ended up on the equivalent of the Oprah show talking about me; because something [in my life] would have had to suffer and it would've probably been them.''
'The Butler' actress was very ambitious compared to her childhood best friend Gayle King when they were younger.
She said: ''Gayle [now a mother of two] was the kind of kid who, in seventh grade home ec class, was writing down her name and the names of her children. While she was having those kind of daydreams, I was having daydreams about how I could be Martin Luther King.''
Oprah previously opened up about her traumatic childhood in 2011 and said: ''Getting pregnant was a result of bad choices, not having boundaries, sexual abuse from the time I was nine, 10, 11, 12 and 13.''
She also admitted: ''When the baby died, I knew that it was my second chance.''
