Paul Mccartney - Paul McCartney Ends Feud With Yoko Ono

Paul McCartney has quashed his feud with Yoko Ono once and for all.

The Beatles hitmaker has finally put his long-standing grudge with John Lennon's widow to rest in a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, during which he branded the 80-year-old icon a ''badass''.

He told the music magazine: ''I thought, 'If John loved her, there's got to be something. He's not stupid. It's like, what are you going to do? Are you going to hold a grudge you never really had? George [Harrison] would say to me, 'You don't want stuff like that hanging around in your life.' ''

Paul and Yoko's bitter rivalry lasted for decades, with Yoko blaming Paul for driving her husband and bandmates George Harrison and Ringo Starr out of the band, and Paul believing Yoko's influence on John was responsible for the group's demise in 1970.

However, Paul is adamant he could never forgive John's murderer Mark Chapman, who shot the 'Imagine' singer outside his New York apartment in 1980, ending his life aged just 40.

The 71-year-old star raged: ''I think I could pretty much forgive anyone else. But I don't see why I'd want to forgive him. This is a guy who did something so crazy and terminal. Why should I bless him with forgiveness?''
