Starsky - Paul Michael Glaser To Star In Fiddler On The Roof Tour
The actor has put all his belongings in storage so he can join the U.K. production, which is directed and choreographed by Tv dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.
He tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "I've packed up my apartment, put everything in storage and sold my car so I could do this tour. I said, 'I'm gonna toss the deck of cards in the air and see how they fall.' How often in life do you get a chance like that? It celebrates the spirit of mankind with those great numbers like If I Were a Rich Man."
Glaser, who starred in the Oscar-winning 1971 film version, adds of his own financial situation, "Not in monetary terms... (But) losing my wife and daughter made me very different and I am fortunate that I was able to learn from it. I feel more at peace with myself than ever, so I guess I am a rich man."
The star's first wife Elizabeth contracted Hiv through a blood transfusion while giving birth to their daughter, Ariel, who was infected with the virus through breast-feeding, and they both succumbed to AIDS-related illnesses in the years afterwards.
