Lawmakers in Australia have offered up a $100,000 ($92,800) reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of former AC DC manager Crispin Dye's killer.

Dye was robbed and beaten to death in Sydney over two decades ago, but the person or persons responsible for his death remain at large, despite numerous investigations into the 1993 slaying.

An eyewitness told police at the time that he saw three males, aged in their late teens or early 20s fleeing from the scene of the crime.

Dye died from his injuries on Christmas Day (25Dec), 1993.

New South Wales government officials have agreed to revisit the murder case and they have offered the large reward in the hope that someone will come forward with vital new information.

A statement from Det. Supt. Mick Willing, from the NSW Police’s unsolved homicide team, reads: "There are people out there who know those responsible for Mr Dye’s death and we’re hoping this reward may prompt them to get in touch with police."
