Lianne La Havas can't wait for Prince to play a gig in her ''humble home''.

The legendary singer has announced he will kick off his 'Hit and Run' tour in London by hosting a press conference next week in the 24-year-old singer's north London flat.

The pair met during her US tour last year and they jammed together at his Paisley Park Studio in Minneapolis.

In a statement, the 2012 Mercury Prize nominee said: ''It is pretty unbelievable that Prince is coming to my house but it is true! It will be a pleasure to welcome him into my humble home and play some music with some dear friends by candle light. I couldn't be more excited.''

The joked that he could use her flat for the press conference - something he decided to take her up on.

She also took to Twitter this afternoon (24.01.14) and quipped: ''Right now I'm shopping for cheap deals in @asda and Prince is coming to my house. Bye.''

The 'Purple Rain' singer will perform at a number iconic venues in and around London from February 3 to mark the release of his all-female girl band 3RDEYEGIRL's debut record 'PLECTRUMELECTRUM'.

Prince hasn't played in the since his appearance at the Hop Farm Festival in 2011, and next month's gigs will be the first multiple dates since 2007.

He is also rumoured to be playing Glastonbury this year.
