Queen Latifah - Queen Latifah officiates over Grammy weddings
Queen Latifah married 33 couples at this year's Grammy Awards on Sunday night (26.01.14). The lucky newlyweds were then serenaded by Madonna.
Queen Latifah officiated over the marriage of 33 couples at this year's Grammys.
The model and actress conducted the ceremony for 33 gay and straight couples during Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' performance of their hit 'Same Love' which promotes equality for same sex relationships.
To begin the ceremony at the Los Angeles' Staples Centre - which was decorated to resemble a chapel with stained glass windows - Latifah said: ''We are gathered here to celebrate love and harmony in every key and every colour.''
The newlyweds - who included Ryan's sister and her boyfriend - were then serenaded by Madonna who sang her 1986 hit 'Open Your Heart' dressing in a white tuxedo and cowboy hat for her heartfelt performance.
The 'I kissed A Girl Singer' couldn't help but share her delight when she caught one of the 33 thrown bouquets - a tradition which claims the receiver will be the next to wed - and offered her congratulations to the couples.
She wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of her with the flowers: ''Congrats to all the #samelove couples tonight. You had me in tears of joy for y'all! Also... Look who caught the bouquet!!! #okuuuurrrr (sic)''
