Deftones frontman Chino Moreno is inviting fans of his reunited rock supergroup Team Sleep to join them for a recording session in New York as the band works on its first album since 2005.

The singer/guitarist revealed last month (Aug14) that he was reuniting his experimental side project, seven years after the musicians unveiled plans to release a follow up to their eponymous disc, and now they are giving devotees the chance to witness the creative process in October (14).

They are inviting fans to join the group at the Applehead Recording studios in Woodstock on 17 and 18 October (14) to listen to new material, watch the band perform, take part in a question and answer session and sit down for a meal with Moreno, Todd Wilkinson, Death Grips drummer Zach Hill, DJ CrookOne, Tinfed's Rick Verret and Chuck X.

A statement released by Team Sleep reads: "Dear friends, Please join us as we create our next record in Woodstock, New York. We'll gather at Applehead studio, near the base of the Catskill mountains to eat, write, play and record.

"For a long time, business people, logistics, careers, adulthood, families... have thwarted us, but we've continued to make music. At the same time, the creative process has become increasingly fragmented and dehumanized.

"With that in mind, we're very excited to get together with our friends, hang out, play music and have a unique experience in a beautiful place. We'd like you to be there, too. Your participation will be essential to the independent creation and release of the live performance and our forthcoming studio record; we look forward to seeing you."
