Ricky Wilson claims he's one of Lily Allen's very first fans.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman was impressed with Lily's cover of the band's song 'Oh My God', with Mark Ronson in 2007, and joked that he asked the singer for her first ever autograph before she was even famous.

He said: ''[The cover] was really good. I remember meeting Lily Allen for the first time after the Ivor Novello awards and no-one had ever heard of her. This guy Mike from Universal Publishing said, 'This is Lily Allen, she's gonna be the next big thing, this is her record.' He gave me her demo CD and I got her to sign it, so technically I was the first autograph she did.''

Ricky also reminisced about the Kaiser Chiefs' heyday in 2006 when they scored three Brit Awards - and were still dissatisfied with their haul.

He told NME magazine: ''I just built a library and put my Brit awards up. It was Best Live, Best Rock, Best British Group. I remember going to Coldplay, who won Best Album, 'That's the one I wanted.' They were, 'Steady on, you won three!' It's funny, you just take it for granted when you're winning loads of them.''
