Sarah Jessica Parker claims she isn't really ''into fashion''.

Since landing the role of Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the City', the actress has become renowned for her fashion-forward style both on and off screen, but she has now admitted she isn't as obsessed with clothes as people think.

She told the Daily Express newspaper: ''I never dress up that much. These days, I'm lucky if I go out to a friend's house. Most of my day is spent as a mother, which requires an entirely different wardrobe.

''Although I appreciate beautiful clothes. I'm not into fashion as people expect me to be.''

The 48-year-old star is fanatical about taking care of her skin and likes to slather on anti-ageing crèmes.

Sarah revealed: ''I believe in buying as many antiaging creams as possible. Use any cream that says 'elimination' in big bold letters on the jar.

''I swear by Garnier Ultra-Lift cream. It targets wrinkles and dryness as well as being really inexpensive.''

The former ballet dancer - who has children James Wilkie, nine, and twins Tabitha and Loretta, four, with her husband Matthew Broderick - also says she finds it harder to keep fit since becoming a mother.

Sarah sighed: ''I don't think I'm in that great shape these days. I have to work out a lot harder. The body just doesn't snap back in the way it used to when I was in my twenties.''
