Sarah Jessica Parker is designing a range of greeting cards.

The 48-year-old star will take time out of her acting schedule to head up a new venture with famed card manufacturer Hallmark to release her own line of occasional keepsakes in a collection which she claims was inspired by her ''love of spoken word.''

Sarah told WWD.com: ''I'm a big believer in the power of a hand-written note, so I was very interested in being involved with this project.''

The designs - which will hit Hallmark stores in the coming weeks - won't just stop at birthday cards as the line also includes wrapping paper and a collection of stationery.

Greeting cards is an exciting new market for Sarah - who played fashion-conscious journalist Carrie Bradshaw in iconic HBO show 'Sex and The City' - as she already headed up a series of her own perfumes in addition to a short-lived clothing line 'Bitten' with clothing retailer Steve & Barry's in 2007.

Most recently, the blonde beauty announced she will release a line of luxury shoes called SJP, which will launch exclusively with Nordstrom on February 28 in a pop-up shop in New York City which opens until March 2.
