Bill Murray - Shia LaBeouf joins Rock the Kasbah
Shia LaBeouf - who earlier this month claimed he was retiring - has joined the cast of new comedy film 'Rock the Kasbah' which will begin production later this year.
Shia LaBeouf has joined the cast of 'Rock the Kasbah'.
The 27-year-old actor recently claimed he was going to retire from acting following a bout of strange behaviour but he now appears to have withdrawn his promise as he's signed up for a role in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Levinson said: ''I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect team of comic actors to round out this wickedly funny and heartfelt film.''
'Lost in Translation' writer Mitch Glazer penned the screenplay which features Murray as a past-it music manager who travels to Afghanistan on a tour with his only client.
Following a series of unfortunate events, Murray ends up abandoned, with no money and no passport, but experiences a change in fortune as he comes across a young local girl with an incredible singing voice who he decides to enter into the Afghani version of 'The X Factor'.
Filming is set to begin in June although details of LaBeouf's character are so far yet to be released.
He will next appear on screens in part one of the drama 'Nymphomaniac' next month.
