The Black Keys have beaten Michael Jackson to the top of the U.S. albums chart to pick up their first number one.

The duo's Turn Blue sold just 7,000 more copies than the King of Pop's posthumous Xscape to rocket to the top of the Billboard 200 on Wednesday (21May14) - but the first-week sales were down 60,000 from the group's 2011 release El Camino, which debuted at two.

Meanwhile, Jackson's Xscape is the late pop legend's 10th top 10 album.

Last week's number one, the Now That's What I Call Music 50 compilation, falls to three on the new countdown, while the Frozen soundtrack slides to four and Rascal Flatts score their ninth top 10 album by debuting Rewind at five.

And it's a good week for Dolly Parton - her Blue Smoke enters the chart at number six, becoming her highest charting solo album ever.
