British comedy sequel The Inbetweeners 2 has held on at the top of the U.K. box office chart after raking in takings of $7.3 million (£4.3 million) over the weekend (15-17Aug14).

Dawn of Planet of the Apes hung on in the top five for a fifth week but fell to fourth place after earning $1.7 million (£1 million), and How To Train Your Dragon 2 rounded out the list at number five with $1.1 million (£647,613).
