Tina Fey - Tina Fey Vindicated In State Insurance Allegations
Workers' Compensation Board officials in New York have confessed they made a mistake when they accused Tina Fey of failing to obtain insurance for her employees.
The former 30 Rock star was hit with a $79,000 (£49,375) judgement in relation to her duties as an employer over claims she did not seek the required insurance for her staff for the year beginning 20 November, 2012.
However, brokers at insurance company Robertson Taylor have since retracted their claims, insisting it was their error that triggered the lawsuit, according to the New York Daily News.
Vice president DeMille Halliburton says, "We collectively accept full responsibility for this clerical error. Tina Fey was never delinquent in paying premiums or having the proper... coverage."
On Monday (31Mar14), a spokesperson for the board stated Fey has proven she obtained coverage for her employees for the time indicated in the lawsuit.
