Victoria Beckham arrived at her son's school parents evening by helicopter.

The fashion designer was scheduled to take part in a photoshoot for Australian Vogue magazine on the same day she was due to meet eldest child Brooklyn's teachers, so had the chopper waiting to ensure she could make the 5pm meeting on the other side of London.

The magazine's editor Edwina McCann explained the scheduling conflict meant Victoria almost pulled out of appearing in her publication, before coming up with a solution.

She explained: ''The shoot almost didn't happen, but in the end her people decided she could make the trip by chopper directly from the shoot if need be.''

Despite her lavish travel arrangements, Victoria - who has Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and Harper, two, with spouse David - insists her family are ''much more normal than people think''.

She said: ''Honestly, once the children are in bed I'd rather work or shove on a face pack and pluck my eyebrows, by the time Brooklyn's finally gone to bed, it's all I'm fit for.

''Really, we're much more normal than people think.''

The former Spice Girls star is also looking forward to having more family time now David has retired from his soccer career.

She told the publication: ''We're all so proud of David. Having supported him at clubs all over the world for the past 15 years and seen how he has been an inspiration not just to me and the children but also to millions of people, we are now just really excited at the prospect of spending more time as a family.''
