Guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are leaving The Allman Brothers Band.

Gregg Allman and his iconic group are celebrating their 45th anniversary in 2014 and at the end of this year, two of its members will part ways with the band.

Haynes and Trucks, who have been with the group for 25 and 15 years respectively, announced the news in a statement that reads: "We are both preparing to dig even deeper into our various creative and musical endeavours and, as a result, 2014 will be our final year as part of the band."

Haynes leads the group Gov't Mule, while Trucks fronts his Derek Trucks Band. He also plays in The Tedeschi Trucks Band with his wife, singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi.
