The saga of bringing the canceled ABC soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live back to life again via the Internet is beginning to take soap-opera dimensions. In the latest twist, the production company Prospect Park has told the Los Angeles Times that it will not resume producing additional episodes of One Life to Live until a settlement is reached in its $25-million lawsuit against the network. The lawsuit, filed in April, alleges that ABC has actively attempted to sabotage the show by, among other things, killing off two OLTL characters on loan to General Hospital and refusing to transfer the show's website addresses. ABC has called the complaint baseless. But Deadline.com reported today (Thursday) that if the dispute is not resolved in Prospect Park's favor, further pre-production of the next season of OLTL will be permanently halted.
