Mumford - Winston Marshall Sorry Over Boy George Gay Jibe
The former Culture Club frontman was giving a talk to students at St Paul's School in London several years ago when one of the boys made a cheeky remark about the gay singer.
The Karma Chameleon hitmaker was then left stunned at the Brit Awards last year (12) when banjo player Marshall revealed he was the lad who made the comment - and begged George for forgiveness.
George tells Q magazine, "A few years ago, I went to do a talk at St Paul's, it's a posh boys' school. I don't know why they asked me, but I did it. Someone shouted out, 'How long have you been gay?' Anyway, I was at the Brits last year and Winston came up and said, 'I've got to apologise, it was me.' I wasn't bothered at the time, it was funny. But he was very sorry, so I said, 'No worries, I'm really pleased you've gone on to do something useful with your life.'"
