Rapper Wiz Khalifa has his wife Amber Rose to thank for paving the way for his collaboration with Adele after she bonded with the singer over motherhood at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

Model Rose was heavily pregnant with the couple's first child as they walked the red carpet on music's biggest night in February (13), and new mum Adele was among the guests who ran up to the mum-to-be to chat about her pregnancy glow and the miracle she was carrying.

Khalifa tells Rap-Up.com, "She was like, 'Amber! Amber!' and told her how beautiful she looked."

The British singer eventually turned to Khalifa and the brief red carpet meeting prompted Adele's representatives to reach out to the rapper and propose plans to work together in the studio.

He adds, "Her people contacted some of my people when they found out we were working on the album and sent some ideas through, so we were able to knock some things out."

The track is due to appear on Khalifa's forthcoming album, Blacc Hollywood, which will also feature a duet with Miley Cyrus.

Rose gave birth to son Sebastian just three weeks after the Grammy Awards.
