Susan Boyle, who turns 50-years-old today (1st April 2011) has been dubbed "an amazing lady" by the music mogul Simon Cowell.
Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer who was catapulted to global stardom in 2009, is celebrating her 50th birthday today, reports the Press Association.The singing sensation, who has received a chorus of birthday greetings from around the globe, says she has invited "a few well-known faces" to join her at a party in Scotland tonight. Hundreds of fans from around the world have taken to their Facebook and Twitter pages to pass on their birthday messages and talent show judge Simon Cowell led the tributes, calling Boyle "an amazing lady". The singer became an international star after appearing on the reality show 'Britain's Got Talent' and stunned judges with her rendition of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from the musical Les Miserables. When asked how she felt about her milestone birthday, Boyle said, "I guess I'm living proof that none of us know what's around the corner and, while I may have started a little late, I really hope I can be around for a wee while longer!"
After the enormous success of her 2009 debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream' and the follow up 'The Gift', Susan Boyle returned to the studio to begin work on her highly anticipated third album.
